My Roodle - the story behind it.
Hello, my name is Joachim Scholl, 55 years young, live in Munich and I am the founder of MyRoodle. Until I moved out at home, we always had dogs in the family. From shepherd mongrel to collie to dachshund, everything was there. Even my grandfather had a dog until he died, a fox terrier. So I grew up with dogs and really like dogs. MyRoodle was founded in August 2020 during the Corona pandemic with the goal of building a community for dog lovers.
In addition, I was the last few years very much professionally on the road and rather rarely at home. That's why I decided to build a community of dog lovers for dog lovers with friends who have dogs themselves. We want to create a platform that promotes exchange and interaction with each other. A platform that informs, provides answers to the most important questions and regularly gives recommendations for high-quality products around our four-legged friends. This includes contributions from dog owners and specialized veterinarians with recommendations around the topic of dog nutrition and dietary supplements. Thereby I would like to meet a high quality standard.
My main occupation has been working in vehicle development for over 20 years, of which about 16 years in quality management. The automotive industry is known for its very high requirements and standards in the quality area. These experiences and standards flow directly into everything that MyRoodle provides for the community. From our point of view, this is immensely important, especially when it comes to topics like dog food, accessories, toys or medical recommendations around your four-legged friend.
In this context, the following points are very important to us when we work with partner companies and suppliers.
- Where are the goods produced, by whom and under which conditions? (No child labor, environmental protection, fair working conditions)
- What are the quality standards (certifications) of the suppliers and logistics service providers?
- Does the veterinarian have a proven expertise?
- Does the breeder have a clean track record?
This means that we put every potential cooperation partner through its paces before integrating it into our platform. The topic of sustainability is also very important to us in the area of dog nutrition and dog equipment.
Ultimately, we want to achieve the following: To give enthusiastic dog owners the opportunity to get easy & fast access to high quality products and offers as well as current news from the field of veterinary medicine & pet care.
